March 13th Pre-season test day Although the weather in the week before the pre-season test day was unpredictable with a fairly severe March snow fall across South Wales from Bridgend eastwards; predictably Pembrey escaped and provided a nice spring day for Saturdays test. There was a good sprinkling of new faces to go with the old hands. Matthew Perkins from Rogerstone was sporting a striking red livery on his Rover 216 Gti and Alex Dziurzynski and a pair of Golf GTI s to go along with seasoned competitors like reigning champion Rhodri Jenkins, Peter Salter and Rhys Lloyd. However several leaky runners, including an ex-BTCC Audi, coated various parts of the track with oil, making serious runs impossible. Still it was enjoyable chance to blow away the pre season cobwebs before the first round at Silvestone
