Seb gradutes to Formula Renault but racing plans for other drivers still pending

WRDA member & Teenage Welsh race sensation Sebastian (Seb) Morris will graduate from Karting & Junior racing, into the senior ranks, during the 2012 season. Seb became the youngest ever Welshman to win a racing championship in 2011, when at the age of 15, he won the prestigious Ginetta Junior Championship, totally dominating by taking 11 wins and 16 podiums from 20 races.

Following his 16th birthday Morris, from Wrexham, will switch to single-seaters with front-running team, Fortec Motorsports, to contest the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship, the title won by fellow North Welsh racers Richard Singleton in 2006 and in 2007 by Hywel Lloyd from Corwen. Apart from the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship, which fits in with his GCSE exam commitments, Morris will also contest the end of season Renault GP Cup races.

Later in the year, his deal with Fortec will include a comprehensive testing programme in preparation for his 2013 campaign, with the teams Formula Renault UK, Eurocup Formula Renault and British Formula 3 International Series cars to build up his experience of these more powerful cars .

Meanwhile the racing plans of young prospect Matt Parry and the other top Welsh racers Hywel Lloyd, Alex Jones and Andy Meyrick remain fluid. Lloyd may share his time between driving, and team management, whilst the plans involving Meyrick & the Aston Martin team remain undecided at present, but Jones & Parry have yet to announce their plans for 2012.
